Project Rate to default to User Defined Rate

Hi All,

First time posting to the community so bear with me

When creating a new user, we have a field for their User Defined Rate. In most cases, this is the rate that we want to flow through to the project. Currently, when adding a resource to a project, the rate will default to Project Rate.

Is it possible to change the default setting to be User Defined Rate rather than Project Rate?

HI Deon,

Welcome to the Replicon Community!

This looks like a good idea. I am changing this to Idea and have forwarded it to my product management team. I will await a confirmation from them.

Thanks,
Aashnee Kamboj

Hi Aashnee,

Thank you very much for the help on this one.
Just thought id follow up as there has been no additional activity on this page, and i cannot see anyone else in the community who has requested something along the same lines.

Any advice you have would be useful

I just discovered this same limitation. Would very much like this feature. We use user rates on all of our projects and since we add resources as needed over the projects life using the RIA importer at project creation is not helpful. Currently I need to monitor all projects to ensure that all resources have been set to the user rate, very time consuming and inefficient.

Any progress made on this request? We also have the same need that Deon requested above. Should be a simple program fix, right?

Ditto. I try to check that project rate has not been accidentally selected by our project teams, but there are still one or two that slip through, which is time consuming for everyone.

We will have this communicated to our Product management team and will update the thread in case of any progress on the same

This is something our office needs as well. Constantly sending out rejections and having employees manually change the user rate is a waste of time and resources. This needs to be a user manageable default setting.
