Need after hours billing against particular projects

We use something called ‘bucket hours’ to track pre-purchased amounts of hours.   In Replicon, we’ve been using the ‘estimated hours’ field in each Task option field to enter these hours, and when our users enter time against the project, the hours are deducted from the total.  We’re running into a difficulty, though, with after hours work on these projects.  We’d like to deduct twice the hours normally used, but that time does not need to be doubled from a time card entry perspective for the user.  We’d like to develop something or hear some feedback as to how we can approach after hours billing and project tracking like this.

Hi Todd,

Thanks for submitting your question. What is the process for deducting hours - how is it getting done currently? Is somebody going and updating the estimated hours? Or is it just the bar chart on the timesheet?

Thanks,
Sangeet

Hello Sangeet,

The hours are being deducted from the 'estimated time' when users enter time against the project.  We’d like for there to be an system option or a process change that works within the Replicon system that allows us to deduct 2hrs from the estimated time for every 1hr entered by user (from a time card perspective) for 'after hours’ work; something I suspect could be selected instead of the standard hours for a particular task.

Thanks for considering this issue!  Please let me know if you need more information.

Regards,

Todd
