Mobile app

It would be great if the mobile app prompted the user when their mobile app version is outdated. We've encountered various issues with employees on an outdated version of the app. The response we receive from support is to have the employee uninstall and reinstall the app and redo their timesheet. Not a great user experience.

Hi Heather,

Thanks for using Replicon community,

I understand your concern here, you could enable automatic updates of apps on your iOS or Android devices to ensure that the mobile app stays up-to date.

Thanks,
Akbar.

We do understand that but we are dealing with hundreds of employees and that is not something we can enforce but will recommend.

Hi Heather,

I have forwarded this to my product management team as well and we will get back to you with an update on the same.

Thanks,
Akbar.

Hi Heather,

We have recently started requiring users to upgrade about once per quarter, to ensure everyone is on a recent version. That should help avoid some of these issues. There is also the option to use EMM (Enterprise Mobility Management), which allows company administrators to manage mobile apps on their employees' devices. If you are interested, there is more information here: https://www.replicon.com/help/enterprise-mobility-management-emm-with-replicon-mobile/

Thanks,
Chalrene

Hello - just a follow-up to your suggestion. The EMM sounds like a great idea but these employees are using Replicon on their personal devices and we cannot manage them through EMM. It would be great if by default the mobile app recognized a new version and prompted the employee to update the app to prevent some of the support issues we have been encountering.
