Mass assignments to projects/tasks

I'm listing this as an idea but it really is also a problem.  Are there any plans to add functionality to allow users to be able to assign an employee to multiple projects at once?  We have hundreds of projects and whenever we have a new employee, someone must manually add them to each separate project/task as a resource if their department isn't already assigned as a whole.  Same question for assigning/changing the rates a user is assigned for a given project/task.

I realize that RIA is technically an option, but given the potential to REALLY mess up other data unintentionally with that tool, it's not really viable for end users.

Short of a front-end enhancement, I will need to create my own custom solution with web services.

Hi,

I agree we have been waiting for over 3 years for this function, can someone at Replicon confirm this function is actually going to happen, like Dan to make these changes manually take a such long time & lots of patience as especially as I understand this function was available in Gen 2 & was removed in Gen 3. I have found that RIA does not really work for me, surely in this day & age we should not have to manually changes to make sure our Replicon database is correct. Replicon is supposed to make our lives easier not harder.

Regards
