Maintaining Default Billing Rates at ADMINISTRATION > BILLING

I understand that "System billing rates are the rates available for use in all projects. Project managers can choose to allow these rates, and modify the value of each, on a per project basis."

We have been updating project rates at the project level at the BILLING tab with a rate and effective date.  Should we also maintain a "default" at the ADMINISTRATION > BILLING level with the current rate?  We have not been updating rates at the ADMISTRATION Level. What is the impact of not updating rates at the ADMINISTRATION level?

FYI. We do not use the default "project rate" or the "user rate".

Hi Chris,

Thank you for using Replicon Community!

The only effect of updating the rates at the project level is that the billing rate will stay specific to that project. When you update under the Administration -- Billing Section you can use it for any project as desired.

Please let me know if the issue or concern differs my understanding.

Thanks,
