Important - Project Management Extra Column

  • Not Planned

We require an extra column in the UI which is an open text field for Comments/Notes. This is required for PMs to track projects efficiently so they can add comments on all rows, live within the list of projects. This enables the Project Management tab's list of projects as a live tracker within the UI. This is a must have since projects change on a day to day basis, so tracking the stage using comments is necessary throughout the day.

Hi Rifai,

Welcome to the Replicon Community!

I believe it's possible to add a custom column to projects that will appear on the list of projects.  Here's some documentation on the feature: https://www.replicon.com/help/creating-custom-fields

Hope this helps,

Mathieu

Hi,

Mathieu is right, you could add text fields to the Project and Task for comments.
Is the real request for the Ticker (like the spinning news headlines on a TV news network?)
And is the source for the ticker the comments? or field updates on projects and tasks?

Thanks Mathieu and Tom for the responses. The requirement however is not for a custom field within the project, but we require a column within the list of projects on the Project Management tab (I have attached a screenshot). We need an extra column here where we can write notes.

Thanks,

Rifai

Ok, so we would have to do 2 things:

  1. make Project Custom Fields appear on the list display
  2. make some/all fields able to be edited on the list itself, rather than when editing the project info.
As of today, neither of these are planned to change.

This feature is crucial:
  1. make Project Custom Fields appear on the list display
