I would like to have a report that will exclude lines of data based on a condition

I need to be able to exclude lines of data (records) in a report if it meets specific criteria.  For example, we have project titles that have parentheses in them () that are for a certain type of project.  Those projects are  the majority of our 3,500 projects and I want to exclude them from the reporting.  So in SQL, I would write something like "where projectname not like "(%" and it would not include the projects that have parentheses.  How can I do that same restriction in Replicon?

Hi!

We had the same situation and created a project-level custom field of type choice for the type of project.
When creating the report we filter by that field and exclude the types we want.

Hope it helps!

Nuno

Hi Wendy,

As Nuno pointed out above that is the best way to do it. Else you can export the report and filter the same

Thanks,

Thank you for taking the time to respond!  I appreciate the suggestion.  We are using the database for a wide group of people for consolidated reporting, and unfortunately we have used all of our custom fields.  Additionally, our users want to be able to quickly see the result of the report without having to export and manipulate it.  It would be much more functionally friendly to be able to exclude data through the custom field or some other filtering capability.
