I need to have actual payroll cost in my project report.

When I am running project reports, the only cost field available is current cost.  so if an individual has put 500 hours on a project over the course of a period of time, those hours are all costed at the rate in place at the time I run the report.  What actally occurs however, is that that individual may have received a pay increase over that period.  if he is paid $40/per hour for the first 300 hours and then $60 hours for the last 200 hours, the current set up only allows me to see the cost at 500 hrs at $60/hr.  The project report will reflect costs of $30,000, when in actuality the cost should be $24,000.  These means Project reports are uselss from a project reporting basis. I know that information is available on a timesheet detail report, but not on a project report.  Why can't it be on a project report????

Hi Jennefer,

Thank you for using Replicon community,

Here is what you can do to address this, increases in hourly cost or hourly payroll can be recorded in the users profile as shown in the screenshot below:-

Once updated reports will calculate total cost accordingly. All the hours entered from 1st Feb, 2015 will be calculated at $60 per hour.

Let me know if this helps,

Thanks,
Lingaraj

Thanks for your reply Lingaraj.  We already do that.  However this information is not picked up in the Project reports, only available in time reports.  I can run a time report to receive costs based upon the date stamping, but I cannot get that in the Project reports - only field available is current hourly payroll.  Similarly, the date stamping on Bill out rates does not carry forward to the time reports, only Project reports.  So, in order to get an accurate Cost-revenue report, I must run two separate reports and dump to excel and merge.

I've switched this post to an Idea so our Product Management team will review during future planning.
