Would like to know how to disable the "Add New Button" for projects. Which would then force the project managers to utilize the two templates as deemed by the auditors that have the necessary tasks and sub-tasks required for uploading to the general ledger for invoicing/billing.

Hi,

Thank you for using Replicon Community.

I can understand that you do not want project managers to accidentally create new projects using the Add New Project option, instead have them use copy project feature from an existing project template.

Currently, the Add New Project option cannot be disabled. We recommend setting up a custom field at the project level called as 'Important Reminder'. This will be of drop down type without any default value. The only drop down option will be a notice which reads: ***Do not create new projects, instead use 'Copy Projects' on an existing project template.***.

This would result in everyone having to select this option, which also clearly reminds them not to use Add New Project feature. Unless a project manager selects this custom field they won't be able to create new projects.

Steps to create a new project level custom field & how this would impact an instance has been demonstrated in the video below:-

Thanks,

Lingaraj
