Filter by supervisor

It would be nice to be able to produce a report filtered by supervisor.  So i could see all users under one or many different supervisors, and see where their time is being entered to as I do not necessarily know all the projects they may be working on.

Also, it would be nice to be able to see all users under a specific supervisor, even if they have not entered time to any project.

This is mainly because I need to see where my team's time being used, and who is not using their time in a given set of projects or tasks.

Hi Jacqueline,

Thank you for your post, you are basically looking for a way to multi select supervisors in User filter?

Thanks,
Lingaraj

Hi Jacqueline

Can you elaborate on which report you are referring to?  Many of the reports have the Group by Supervisor in the settings option.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

From our perspective, I can see that you can group by User Supervisor, but why is there no filter for the same field?

Hi Peter,

Every User filter has an option to choose the supervisor. The result is detailed based on that supervisor. Is the issue that you want to select multiple supervisors?

Thanks,
Aashnee

The issue is that as admin, I want to be able to set up a report for a specific Supervisor (not project leader) and have this emailed to them periodically. Leaving users (including Supervisors) to set up their own reports means they might not get the information set up properly. As it stands I can 'group by' Supervisor, but there is no filter even thought this field is in the report.  I therefore have to download the report and filter it as a separate exercise, which kind of defeats the idea of reports being emailed out automatically.

Problem solved. I didn't realise that 'User Supervisor' as in the drop-down list for 'User' (among others, including 'Department name'. Curiously the one user that could be there - the 'Project Lead' - isn't.
