Error message when a user is asked to approve their own timesheet after it's been edited by another PM

Support have told me that it's "system behaviour" that a user is being asked to but can't approve their own timesheet if it was edited by another user and then resubmitted. This is happening since Replicon did some software amendments. It didn't happen before then.

The only way round it is the user unsubmits their timesheet and then resubmits again. This shouldn't be what they need to do as it's inconvenient and unnecessary. The timesheet shouldn't go back to the user to approve if they've had no changes to their own projects.

Please can you look into this and stop this extra step from happening?

I have had the same issue a few times and have raised it with support.

Looks like the system gets into a state that it has no valid path for. It being a "system behavior" is nonsense as no system should get into a state that the action it is asking of you generates an error.

When this happens I (as administrator) can approve the timesheet as its most likely myself that has amended the timesheet.

The issue has been passed onto product team for review as this is obviously a bug and not an acceptable behaviour.

Hi Elaine,

We are checking on this internally and will keep the thread updated in case of any progress on the same.

Hi Elaine and Ann,

This behaviour was a side effect of a bug fix that we put out. We have disabled this new behaviour until we can come up with a better solution. Please let me know if you are still seeing issues and I apologize for the problems.

Thanks,
Charlene
