Entry Level Custom Fields not updating

We originally had a custom dropdown setup under Admin/Timesheet Settings/Entry Level Custom Fields.  I edited this list and while it showed correctly under Timesheet Settings, the dropdown never changed in our employees' timesheet entry screens.

I then simply deleted the old dropdown and created another.  Again, while it shows correctly in the Timesheet Setup, it still shows the old dropdown in the timesheet entry for employees and I cannot find a way to make it update correctly.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi -  See if generating a brand new timesheet will allow it to appear.

That's also a good idea whenever changing timesheet settings as many of the settings get saved with each individual timesheet so configuration changes don't impact previous timesheets.

Thanks Patty!

Hi Michael,

It looks like you have both our older and latest timesheet formats. As a result, it looks like you are editing custom fields that work with our older timesheet format, but are in fact using our new timesheet format. To edit the options for custom fields used by our newer timesheet format, please go to Admin > Object Extension Fields. You should be able to find the custom field there and be able to edit the options.

Let us know if this helps!

Thanks,
Charlene

That did it.  Certainly not obvious please for this, but it now works.  Thank you

Glad to hear. I definitely can see how that's not obvious. Most of our customers only have one timesheet format or the other, so they wouldn't see the different options for custom fields.

If you are interested in simplifying the options, you could discuss with your CSM upgrading to our latest product packaging, which would only include the latest timesheet format and related options. Let me know if you are interested and I can put you in touch.

Thanks,
Charlene

Another place that you can edit this is by editing the timesheet template itself. You will see the custom field configured for that template and be able to edit it. That might be a little easier to find in future.
