Enhancement request - Time Punch Details template

I am trying to create
a daily report that details the time punches for the previous day whether or not an employee worked. I have tried the Time Punch Details template, but it does not show employees who did not work like the Work Schedule template does.

Can you please look into adding functionality to the Time Punch Details report template so that all active employees show up whether or not they worked in the selected time period?

Thank you,

Hello Karra,

Thank you for your post.

Regarding your question, the general idea with reports is that there should be some data available in the database, which a report can query and display on screen. Also, different reports are structured based on different primary data sources, for example:
- The Time Punch Details report queries actual punch data.
- The Work Schedule report needs to have either Shift/Office Schedule data or Time Punch data available in the system.
The absence of either of these would mean the corresponding report would have nothing to show.

The Work Schedule report seemingly shows all users because all users in the system have Office Schedule data pre-populated for them by default, so even when users do not have punches, they show up because they have schedule data available.
Users without any shift/schedule data and time punches would not show up in the Work Schedule report as well.

There may also be technical constraints and performance considerations in achieving this, however, it is something that we could ponder over in due course to see if there is a feasible solution.
