Enhancement Request - "Published/Unpublished" schedules

Hello, we have noticed that when you add an assignment (schedule or shift in our case), that the published/unpublished option is not part of the "add" schedule function. Is there any chance the "add" feature can be incorporated into the same function. We are an organization that doesn't have weekly schedule changes and do not want managers to have to "publish" schedules on a weekly basis nor go to a different task to accomplish the same goal. Please advise if this can be enhanced? Thank you.

Thank you for using Replicon Community,

We have marked this as a idea and are reviewing the same.

Thanks,

Hi Tracy,

Thanks for the suggestion.  The way it's currently designed, the Publish is generally done at the end of the creation of a schedule; ie, the manager "adds" a number of schedule assignments, and then at the end of that creation process, they press "Publish" to make these assignments visible to all employees.   We would not want employees to see a half-finished schedule.

It's unlikely we'd make the publish function available during Add of a new assignment, because this would be too confusing (and too easy to make a mistake) for most scheduling scenarios.

Would it help your workflow for the managers to use the Publish All button which only needs to be pressed a single time?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom,

Thank you for reviewing this idea.  Yes, I do think there would be value in adding an additional workflow for "Publish All".

Please advise how long it will take to deploy this feature?

Thank you,

Hi Tracy,

The good news is, there is already a Publish function in the system, which can publish a full page of schedules at once.  It's in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

Please connect with your support rep and they'll help you as needed to use it.  Thanks for using the scheduling module!

Hi Tracy,

You may have already noticed but when you add a shift assignment, you can now choose whether it is published or unpublished. With that, I'll mark this as Implemented! Please let us know if that doesn't meet your needs.

Thanks,
Charlene
