Yes, we have a mobile app! But I'm sure you already knew that, or assumed it.

And maybe you've even tried it, or are one of the thousands of users who log into it daily.

But, believe it or not, there are people out there who mostly just use their phones for texting or listening to audiobooks, who might not think of using their devices to access Replicon. And maybe, some of them haven’t tried the mobile app because they have questions that they're too shy to ask.

So today, for those people, I will answer questions about getting started with Replicon Mobile!

Question #1 - I don’t have one of those newfangled iPhones. Do you make an Android version?

Yes! We offer virtually identical versions of the app for Android and iPhone.

Question #2 - Do I need to get my manager to change any settings or permissions before I can use the app?

Nope. If you’ve downloaded the app from either the App store or Play store, and have Replicon account credentials, you’re ready to get started.

Question #3 - If I enter time in the mobile app, will it show up in the web version? Do I have to enter hours twice??

No, you don't have to record time twice. Anything you record in the mobile app syncs instantly with the web app, and vice versa.

Question #4 - How much does it cost, exactly?

Replicon Mobile is free, though of course you need a Replicon account to use it.

Question #5 - Do I need data to use the app?

If you’re going to use the app while away from wifi, then yes, you do need data as it doesn’t store hours recorded offline.

Question #6 - How do I log in?

You’ll use your regular Replicon credentials to log in, so you’ll need to know your exact company name, as styled for the app (i.e. it might include ‘inc’ after the name, or something like that), and your Replicon user name and password. If you don’t know your credentials, look here for information about retrieving them.

Question #7 - I’m automatically logged in to Replicon when I log in to my work system. Can I use the app?

Yes! If you’re a single sign-on user (meaning you don’t have Replicon-specific credentials) and you can access Replicon remotely, you should be able to log in to Replicon Mobile.

Just enter your company name (and possibly your user name), then click the Use Single Sign-On (SSO) button. The app will prompt you to log in to your work system, if you’re not already logged in.

Question #8 - What can I do with the app?

If you’re an end user (someone who submits timesheets, time off bookings, or expenses), or a supervisor, you can pretty much do anything from the Replicon Mobile that you can do using the web app. Project managers who approve items can do that using the app, too.

Question #9 - Why should I use the app?

Recording what you worked on immediately after you finish working can reduce timesheet anxiety. Replicon Mobile can make it easier to record hours promptly, whether you’re on the go or sitting on your couch.

In summary, using Replicon Mobile may not be for everyone, but it could be useful to you. So, feel free to check it out!
