Custom timesheet template - configurable features not implemented

On testing the new custom timesheet template, the configurable option to allow blank comments has not been implemented i.e. if not set then comments should be mandatory (in the same way as the standard template works).  I do not have this feature selected but comments are optional when they should be mandatory.  I have been told that this feature is in the "list" of features to be implemented but no date set.

Why give a configurable option when its not been implemented OR when the default has not been implemented e.g. comments are mandatory.

I would have expected any configurable option available for selection to have been implemented.

Hi Ann,

Thank you for your post. We have developed a validation rule to handle the problem you have described. Development is fully complete, but it has not yet been released to production. The rule is still in beta form because QA testing has not yet been fully completed. If you have the availability, we can demo the rule to you as early as this week and provide a copy so that you can test it out.
