Change Default Selection for Time Off Type

Hello,

I would like a company-wide setting to allow us to change the default Time Off Type for all of our users. If there's some sort of workaround that allows us to change the order they display in, that would also be good.
We would like to be able to control this both on the website and the mobile app.

Hi SmartWatt,

Thank you for using Replicon community,

We request you to contact the support team, who can assist you with updating the Default Time Off Type for Bookings via web services for all users. Our PM team will review your idea.

Changing the Default Time Off Type for Bookings (Administration, User Settings) to the desired time off code is not sufficient ?
SmartWatt.
My workaround, I updated our time off codes to include a numerical value based on the order I wish them to be viewed.
Ex:
1-Vacation
2- Sick
3-Holiday

I haven't heard any complaints and I have had this in place for two companies since April 2014.

Can you confirm that they're sorted alphabetically even on the mobile app?
This may be a sufficient workaround, thank you for the idea.

By placing a numerical value at the front of the time off code, both Gen 3 and the mobile app sort numerically. My example above is how I see our time off codes in both environments.
As I said, we initially did not have the numerical value setup during implementation. I am certain I encountered the sorting issue you currently have.
Once I performed the update, the sort was processed in the order I preferred.

Hi John,

No, when you update this value under Administration > User Settings, this is only effective for new users and not for existing users. I agree with you on the workaround of adding numbers before the Time off type name. As seen from the below screenshot this will list the Time off types in the numerical order on the web.

On the mobile app right now it does not sort the same way as the web. We will pass this feedback across to the mobile PM team.

Hope that helps.

Lingaraj

Hi SmartWatt and John,

I agree this is a useful thing to have in our product and we have been thinking about the right way to implement it. Its not something we are working on right now so we will revisit again later.

Thanks, Karen
