When approving timesheets before you had the ability to 'Edit' a timesheet to fix any minor mistakes - now this button has gone and the only option is to 'Reopen' a timesheet which makes the process a lot longer and difficult
With the reopen button, you click on the reopen button once and the timesheet can be edited directly. The timesheet has to then be resubmitted for approval again. We would link this to edit and save action that you had initially performed. Is there something specific you are looking for here
Thanks for your response! Understand that now we must use the reopen button to Edit, however this process has made approving timesheets a lot longer, you now have to go through the extra steps of re-opening, editing and then resubmitting. This process doesnt work well for the timesheet supervisor who is editing an employees timesheet on their behalf. The employee gets a notification that their timesheet hasn't been submitted when in fact it has.
Is there a way we can have the Edit button back? Thanks, Rachel
We moved to the reopen process to ensure there's proper approval flows and trace-ability on changes. Because a change can invalidate previous approvals, this ensures it goes through the appropriate approvals again.
I would like to understand more about the notification. Because the reopen and resubmit should happen quite quickly, I wouldn't expect the employee to get a notification. Are your supervisors reopening it to make changes and then waiting a while before finishing up those changes and submitting them?

Thank you for clarifying further on this. Let me check internally and confirm is this something that we have been thinking around already
