What is additional departments and use of additional departments in Replicon?

Hi Ramon,

Thank you for using Replicon Community.

Setting up Additional departments will allow the user to view user data & projects associated to those departments when entering time and running reports, this off course depends on the level of permission assigned as well. The departments the user is currently assigned to display beneath the Edit button in hierarchical order.

To edit the additional department assignments, select the Edit button:

To assign the user to a department, enable the check box next to the department.

The user will be assigned to that department, but will not be assigned to the sub-departments within that department, unless specifically enabled.

To remove a department assignment, clear the check box next to that department.

To hide and show the sub-departments, select the Collapse_Icon.gif and Expand_Icon.gif icons, respectively.

A check box is not provided next to the user's Primary Department.

When you have finished adding or editing department assignments, select Done.
