Adding approval beyond the default not working in Gen2

I wanted to add another level of approval for timesheets and expenses. I created a new permission called "Manager" and set myself as the manager permission. Then changed the user approval path to include this new level, there were now three levels, Project Leader > Supervisor > Manager. But when the user submits timesheet or expense account the Manager role is shown as the assigned supervisor. I cannot get the "Manager" approval to work.

Thank you for using Replicon Community.

To include yourself as the 3rd level of approver you must setup the Approver Type  with specified user role. The below video demonstrates the steps on  how to create a approver type with specified user role and add this as 3rd level approver:-
