On the project page all of my Hours and dollars are doubled. I checked my est hours for each task and they are correct. Why is the hours and dollars of my estimates doubling? How can I fix this?

Hi,

Thank you for using Replicon Community.

The estimated hours, estimated cost or estimated billing amount do not depend on the numbers entered in the Project Settings under the Project Info page or on the estimated hours entered in Tasks. The Hours and Dollar amount show depending upon the user allocation under the Projects' Team tab. The hours allocated to each users then in turn change the estimated cost and estimated billing dollar amounts.

Please

Thanks

Hi there, In follow-up to this post, what then is 'actual cost (all dates)' reporting on? I understood that to be reporting on actual and forecast costs (as based on the users project allocation). Is there a difference? Also, how do you report on the 'Estimated cost' as recorded in the project info screen (as that is essentially the baseline cost)? Thanks

In follow-up to this post, what then is the difference between the 'estimated' values and the 'actual' values when it comes to reporting? I was told to use the 'actual cost (all dates)' field to pick up all actual and forecast costs, based on resource

Hello,

Below is the detailed explanation on how the data is derived on the Project page:

Estimated cost = Estimated hours (all dates) x Users/Placeholders hourly cost

Estimated billing = Estimated hours (all dates) x Users/Placeholders billing rate assigned at project team level

Actual cost = Actual hours (all dates) x Users/Placeholders hourly cost

Actual billing = Actual hours (all dates) x Users/Placeholders billing rate assigned at project team level

Actual hours is the total hours entered against the project by users.
Estimated hours is the total hours that users are allocated for the project.

Note:
In reports you can use the Project Team report type to derive the above mentioned data for easy comparison.
