Actual V/s/ Estimated hours

At the Project Management window there is no obvious way to see the actual vs estimated hours for the whole project without using reports.

The same information can be see at task level but it would help if this was also available at project level from within Project Management.

Also, the % complete indicators (top right hand corner of Project Management screen) have to be manually adjusted. Should this not be automatic depending on the actuals vs estimates for the project?

Guys... we really would like to have this feature (Actual vs Estimated Hrs)in the Project Summary Screen. That is a key information for any Project managers to have at the Project Summary Level!
It's a shame all these customer feed backs haven't reached your product development team in all these years!

By the way I must add that your Customer Support is one of the best I have ever experienced!Kudos for that.

But you definitely got to add Actual vs Estimated Hrs comparison to the Project Summary Level and possibly automate the progress bar.

I would agree completely. At the project level we also want our resource managers to be able to view the actual versus estimated hours. My question is whether resource managers need Project Manager permission to view the estimated hours.

Hello Patricia,

Thank you for the response.

I completely understand the reason behind this functionality.

The resource manager does not have permission to view this information.

Possible options:

1. Give him the project manager permission to view this info via Reports
2. You can schedule a report for him and set the recurrence so that the system will send the Resource manager the data for the Actual vs Estimated hours. (By doing this you do not have to assign the project manager permission).

Hope this information helps.
